MCLEAN COUNTY ART CENTER

aNIMATED Projection mAPPING

Designed in: Adobe Illustrator

This animation was designed to be projected in the large front window of the McLean County Art Center. Although the town is home to two colleges, the Art Center’s audience primarily skews older. To attract a younger crowd and energize the space, the board commissioned an animated window projection to act as both an eye-catching installation and a form of visual advertising.

Because the window is set back from the main road, the animation prioritizes visibility—the Art Center's name is the focal point, designed large and bold. Drawing inspiration from the building’s history as a former church, the typography mimics the aesthetic of stained glass. The words “McLean County Art Center” shift in and out of the frame, creating a dynamic, luminous effect that activates the space.

Due to budgetary reasons the projection never was displayed.
