While employed at the Town of Normal I would create designs for departments of the town. This included The Children’s Discovery Museum which is a part of the cultural arts department of the town.
Children's Discovery Museum Annual Report
Yearly report for the Children’s Discovery Museum in Normal, Illinois, highlighting the museum's accomplishments over the fiscal year. Following the museum's branding guidelines, I created a vibrant, playful magazine that featured custom infographics showcasing key statistics and stories about the year's events and achievements. The magazine was designed as a fun way to thank those who support the museum and contribute to its mission of making learning enjoyable for children.
Photos were framed in circles for a dynamic, engaging look, while graphic elements from the museum's branding tied the design together. Infographics were strategically placed throughout to break up large blocks of text and add visual interest.
Wonder Magazine
Following the Children’s Discovery Museum's branding guide and previous editions, I designed the 2024-2025 Fall/Winter edition of Wonder Magazine. This biannual publication is used to connect with the community and highlight the museum’s upcoming events.
Photos were creatively placed in fun shapes to reflect the museum’s quirky branding, while pull quotes were strategically used to break up text and add visual interest. Consistent, bright colors from the museum’s brand guide were incorporated throughout to maintain a cohesive look.
